When I first arrived here in Dallas Texas from Long Beach California July 9, 2013. About twenty seconds after my feet touched Dallas soil I was handed a kitten by my sons girlfriend and she knew I would not reject her because of all my rescue work. It might have been the fastest rescue of a new resident in Texas history. I instantly named her Harmony in honor of my friend Laura Simpson founder of the Harmony Fund. Then after being here a couple months I found out where Harmonies Mommy and her sister were staying in a abandoned property close by. So I have been taking them food & water every day since. Since I feed all the neglected and homeless dogs in the area there is always dogs around my yard. I heard a bunch of dogs making a lot of noise outside a couple hours ago and ran out real quick to check. A German Shepherd had his body half way under my porch so I knew there was something under the porch. It was Harmonies sister and she was trapped by the dogs with no place to run. Normally she could of got out of the front by the steps but there was two dogs there also. So I chased the dogs away for a minute giving her a chance to run off. It would have broken my heart if one of the dogs would have killed her and I am so glad I heard them when I did and that I was able to stop it in time.
