Help Us Feed Rescued Bears

Every Day, The Bears Need a Picnic!

Deep in a quiet sanctuary in Serbia live three elderly bears named Marja, Bozana, and Uske. Today they rest in safety, stretch in the grass, and enjoy peaceful days under the trees.

But their lives did not begin this way.

As cubs, they were stolen from the forest after their mother was shot by poachers. Instead of growing up beside her in the wild, they were forced to survive years of hardship and exploitation before they were finally rescued by two determined rescuers, Pavel and Branka Pasco, founders of ARKA sanctuary.

They were among the first bears ARKA ever saved.

And today, they still depend on us.

A Lifetime of Care Means a Lifetime of Feeding

These bears cannot return to the wild. After everything they endured, the sanctuary is their permanent home — and their survival depends entirely on daily care.

Every single day they need:

    • apples

    • carrots

    • corn

    • apricots

    • zucchini

    • grapes

    • tomatoes

    • plums

    • watermelon

    • walnuts

Fresh fruits and vegetables are not treats for them. They are essential nutrition.

It costs about $15 per day to feed each bear — and with three bears, the monthly food bill quickly becomes overwhelming for a small sanctuary already stretched thin.

Your support helps make sure their bowls are never empty.

These Three Bears Are Not the Only Ones Who Need Help

Across the region, other captive bears are still waiting. Some are still trapped in conditions very much like Marja, Bozana, and Uske once endured.

Reliable monthly food funding is what makes future rescues possible.

A Simple Promise We Can Keep Together

Marja, Bozana, and Uske lost their forest home long ago.

But thanks to compassionate people like you, they did not lose their future.

By helping provide their fruits and vegetables each month, you are giving three rescued bears exactly what they deserve most: comfort, security
and peace for the rest of their lives.

Your kindness keeps them strong and keeps the sanctuary ready for the next bear who needs saving.
